A walk in the woods.
Sorry I haven't posted much lately. I've been up to my eyeballs in school.
Here are a few pics from a walk I took in the Dandelong National Park, about one hour outside of Melbourne. It's one of the few large parks that is accessible by train so I'm going to be all over it for the next year.
I was SOOO happy to get out of the city and actually soak up the sounds, smells and sights of the woods.
This is your typical temporate rain forest. No, that isn't a palm tree to the left, it's a fern!!! They are huge here.
Huge fargin' tree with a huge fargin' hole!!
Lunch time! Uh ohh, What's this? I'm being surrounded!!!
"Trailmix!!! Ok, I don't think he notices me. Now if I can just get a little closer."
"Grapes?!! HEY!! Where did the trailmix go?!!"
"Ok, I think I need to take a different approach. Hey there buddy. What's for lunch?"
There are a lot of gum trees around thees parts. They are freakin' tall, very straight and make for cool pictures like this one.
Nothing says "relax" like horses grazing on a beautiful day.
Ok, that's it for now. I'll be in touch again soon.

Hey E,
Huge fargin ferns! It looks beautiful there. Nice you were able to take some time away.
Pretty cool about the bird. Did he end up getting any of the trail mix?
Love you,
